To disrupt census operation, Maoists kidnap census officials

Disrupting the ongoing census operations, Maoists have abducted half a dozen teachers conducting an enumeration survey in the Gaya district of Bihar a few days ago. News of the abduction came to light after one of the victims filed a written complaint with the Block Development Officer on Saturday. The kidnapped teachers,all from the Barha village of Dumaria block in Gaya, were released after being held hostage for six hours on May 27.
