Top Maoist rebel surrenders in Hyderabad

A top Maoist rebel surrendered in Hyderabad on Monday. Maoist leader Konapuri Ilaiah Alias Sambasivudu was produced at a press conference in the presence of the Andhra Pradesh state's Home Minister K Jana Reddy. Sambasivudu surrendered before special intelligence branch deputy inspector general of police B Shivdhar Reddy on Sunday. Speaking to the reporters, Reddy said that Sambasivudu surrendered to join the social mainstream.
