Tourism in naxal-infested areas

Jharkhand state is promoting tourism in its naxal-infested areas by involving locals in its development. The state administration has opened up tourist spots in the rural areas of Dhanbad district and handed it over to local people to manage the facilities to attract visitors. The district, with hills, forest and waterfall, is infamous as den of Naxalities and with the fall of evening nobody dares to venture out.
