Trade unions at crossroads on May Day

On the occasion of May Day or the International Workers' Day, Trade unions and several members of Communist Party of India (Marxist) assembled at prime locations in Kolkata to raise their voice against the unfair treatment meted out to the labour class in India. May Day or the International Workers' Day, which is observed across the globe on 1st May, has special significance in Bengal as it has a history of a seven-decade-old workers' movement.
