The death toll in the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey's van city on Sunday has crossed 200. Rescue workers, battling near-freezing temperatures, continue to scour the wreckage, hoping to find survivors. Residents in Van joined a frantic search, using hands and shovels and working under floodlights and flashlights. More accounts of dead bodies and destruction emerged from smaller settlements across the remote area near the Iranian border, most of them left without electricity or phone access.
