U’khand landslide: Work in progress

Relief work for passengers and clearing of roads, blocked by numerous landslides caused due to incessant rainfall and cloudburst in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, is in full swing.The landslides in various parts of Chamoli left thousands of pilgrims stranded on the highway, while killing one person. Addressing media persons in Dehradun, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that landslides were an unavoidable reality in various parts of the state but the administration was fully equipped to tackle the after effects.
