Ujjwal Nikam welcomes govt's decision to reject Kasab's mercy plea

The public prosecutor in the 26/11 case, Ujjwal Nikam welcomed the decision of the Union Home Ministry to reject the mercy plea of the lone survivor of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, Ajmal Kasab, forwarding the plea to President Pranab Mukherjee. The decision of the home ministry has drawn positive responses from political circles as well. Kasab's death sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court on August 29 this year.
