He's arguably the least hyped and most successful Pakistani pace product of the last few years. Born on 14 April, 1984 is the latest in Pakistan's assembly-line of pace-bowling talent. He had played just nine first-class matches when called up for national duty in the wake of Pakistan's poor 2003 World Cup. He is a fast medium bowler known for his in- swing deliveries. Gul has gained fame as one of the most successful bowlers after becoming the leading wicket taker in both the Twenty-20 World Championship tournaments. He was the leading wicket-taker at the ICC World Twenty-20 2007 and 2009. He is the first ever bowler to take five-wicket hauls in all international formats.
