US Ambassador to India, Nancy Jo Powell on Tuesday sought to enhance economic and business relations with India, while aiming to work to overcome barriers to trade and investment. Powell said that improving bilateral trade and investment was her main objective as ambassador, mentioning U.S. concerns about tariff and non-tariff barriers and a new retroactive tax law as obstacles in the relationship. Powell termed Indo-US relationship as 'vibrant' while addressing the industrialists at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kolkata.
