Liquor baron Vijaya Mallya visited the Kukke Subrahmanya temple near Sulya in South Kanara district of Karnataka and donated a carved golden door for the sanctum sanctorum of the temple as a part of his Sankalpa. Going through the toughest phase of his life, Mallya said that he had visited the temple to pay obeisance before the deity and refused to comment on anything else. Reportedly, he would be offering another pair of gold-plated doors to the temple if his wishes come true.
