Villagers and police clash at Tata car plant

Atleast 15 villagers and few police men were injured on Friday in a clash between the villagers and the police in Singur. Police had to fire tear gas to disperse villagers who tried to force their way into a factory owned by Tata Motors Ltd. These villagers were protesting against the land seizure which has forced them from their farmlandsTata Motors plans to launch the world's cheapest car, the Nano, later this year.
