Visitors throng the 12-day long 'Saras Mela' at Tripura

A 12-day entrepreneur's exhibition 'Saras Mela' showcasing exquisite works by rural artisans and craftsmen of Tripura, is witnessing a huge influx of visitors. The fair that started on Monday at the state capital Agartala, is sponsored by the state's Ministry of Rural Development. The fair that aims at providing a platform to rural artisans and local Self Help Groups, have helped theses craftsmen a lot, as, besides direct retail sales at the stalls, the young entrepreneurs are getting bulk orders too. No wonder, they are now a happy lot.
