Voters baton charged outside Rae Bareilly polling booth

Police officials have baton charged angry voters protesting against missing names from the voting list outside a polling booth in Rae Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Fourth phase of voting is taking place in 56 assembly constituencies of the state amid tight security. Meanwhile, voters have started turning up in good numbers outside polling booths in Banda district of the state. The state polls in Uttar Pradesh are being viewed as an opportunity for major parties to re-establish or strengthen their footholds in the country's fifth largest and most populous state. The Results would be declared on March 06.
