Watch: BJP MP Giriraj Singh's apology to Sonia Gandhi for racist remark

Union minister Giriraj Singh on Monday expressed regret on the floor of the Lok Sabha for his earlier racist comments against Congress president Sonia Gandhi. "It was not my intention to offend anybody. If my comments have hurt anybody I express regret," Singh said. The expression of regret came after the opposition demanded that Singh be sacked as minister for his comment that the Congress made Sonia Gandhi the president because of 'her white skin' The House was briefly adjourned after the Congress raised the issue during question hour saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologise for the remark made by the minister.
