WB gets Rs 4000 cr aid for road projects

Union rural development minister, Jairam Ramesh today ended the seven-year long impasse with the West Bengal government by allotting Rs 4000 crore for upgradation and construction of new roads under the Prime Ministers rural road connectivity scheme. Ramesh added that the state government would be sending the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this upgradation by October 24.
