West Bengal’s main opposition defends protests

Main opposition in West Bengal that spearheaded the protests leading to the pull out of Tata small car plant from the state justified its stand on Saturday. Mamata Banerjee, chief of Trinamool Congress said the protests were conducted in the interests of the people. Meanwhile West Bengal's ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) termed the whole incident as "unfortunate." Rajnath Singh, who was in Agartala, blamed the West Bengal state's administration for the fiasco.
