With rising temperatures, sales of khadi clothes picks up

With the heat rising well above normal levels, sales of Indian khadi clothes have picked up in Ahmadabad city of Gujarat. Handloom wholesaler-retailer Khadi Mandir is producing khadi goods in far greater supply than last year owing to the high demand, says Jayantilal Shah, Khadi Mandir's Managing Trustee. Same is view of other Khadi boutique owners. Earlier, khadi fabric was dyed solely in earthy colors but now designers are experimenting by dyeing it in striking colors like lime green, violet, baby pink, turquoise blue and many more.
