Downplaying the reported rift with its ally the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the NDA, JDU chief Sharad Yadav on Saturday said that his party had supported Congress candidate Pranab Mukherjee as a presidential candidate because the poll was unlike others, in that it did not compromise the JD-U's support for the BJP.
