Woman shot dead in public view in Delhi

In yet another shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman was shot dead by two drunk men on Sunday evening, at Sarai Kale Khan, when she resisted their attempt to molest her in New Delhi. The victim was at the main traffic signal near the Sarai Kale khan terminal with her husband, when the two men approached her and tried to force her to go with them but when she resisted, one of them shot her with a country-made pistol. The incident took place at around 7:45 pm with the PCR van standing just 40 metres away. An eyewitness, identified as Rakesh Kumar, said that the attacker tried to escape but was chased and caught by people around. One of them is named Munshi Ram Yadav, a resident of Bhajanpura in north-east Delhi.
