Women in Khawda village of Jharkhand have set an example in self-reliance and have transformed the region through self help groups. Now, the village has schools, proper roads and all basic amenities. These self-help groups, formed with the help of an NGO, Women's Welfare Association, have slowly gained momentum and helped in women's upliftment, consequently leading to the development of the village.
