Women across India were an elated lot when the much awaited Women's Reservation Bill finally passed in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. The Bill once enacted as a law will provide 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and various state legislative assemblies. The joy could be judged from the fact that even women party workers of the main opposition BJP in the national capital danced and distributed sweets to hail this historic event.
