Women turns embroidery into an unconventional art

A fragile middle-aged women in Kolkata has turned the unassuming embroidery into an unconventional art form. Rita Rakshit's embroidery work, a fabric embellishment technique, depicts picture stories, amazingly like paintings on canvas. She has transformed the humble needle and thread talent into exquisite art-work by creating astounding landscapes, portraits and figurative works.
