World Bank lends record 9.3 billion to India in FY 10

The World Bank is committed to support India's development agenda as evident from the record annual lending of $ 9.3 billion for the current financial year. Roberto Zagha, World Bank Country Director for India said this while speaking to the media persons at New Delhi on Wednesday. According to the World Bank website, the total expected lending this year includes $2.6 billion as interest-free credits from the International Development Association (IDA) and $6.7 billion in the form of long term, low interest loans from International Bank of Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
