Yamuna enters residential area in Haryana

Waters from the swollen River Yamuna have flooded the Yamuna Nagar area of Haryana. The volume of the River increased substantially after 269,000 cusecs of water was released from Hathnikund barrage near Yamuna Nagar on Sunday. Normal life was crippled as people waded or drove through knee-deep water, amid fears that the rising water may damage standing crops.
