Updated on Feb 22, 2011 01:03 pm IST

The most dependable pacer of team India who is also known for his hard hitting, Zaheer Khan is very famous for his reverse swing tricks. He's the spearhead of the Indian pace attack and has the ability to swing the ball both ways, but what makes him deadlier is his ability to reverse swing the ball even when it is not that old. Born on 7th October 1978 Zaheer is currently tied with James Anderson of England at No.4 in ICC Test bowlers ranking. He made his Test debut in 2000 against Bangladesh at Dhaka and ODI debut against Kenya at Nairobi during the ICC KnockOut Trophy in the same year. He is one of the six bowlers to have taken 200 ODI wickets for India and he has also played in the ICC CWC in 2003 and 2007, with a best of 4-42 against New Zealand at Centurion. He also holds the record for the highest Test score by a No. 11 player. In 2006, Zaheer became the first Worcestershire player to take 10 wickets in a match on debut for over 100 years against Somerset.
