Iran issued a fresh warning to NATO hours before the Trump-Xi meeting, as Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the U.S. of “dishonesty” and blamed Washington for blocking peace efforts. During talks with Norway’s deputy foreign minister in Tehran, Araghchi also hinted at a new legal framework for the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of tougher shipping controls in the world’s most critical oil chokepoint.
