The U.S. reportedly held secret talks with Iran to persuade Tehran to curb attacks by Iran-backed Houthis. The Financial Times reported that the secret talks were held in Oman in January this year. A delegation led by the U.S. Middle east advisor Brett Mcgurk & Iranian envoy Abram Paley was part of the meet. From Tehran's side was Iranian deputy foreign minister, Ali Bagheri, who represented the Islamic republic. The talks were mediated by Omani officials & neither side spoke directly, FT reported.
