Amit Shah defends fielding Sadhvi Pragya from Bhopal

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday defended the fielding of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur from the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. The BJP chief was speaking at a press conference in Kolkata. Sadhvi Pragya, who is currently out on bail, is an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. The case is being heard in a National Investigation Agency court. Sadhvi Pragya has been named the BJP candidate against senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh.
