Updated on May 23, 2019 09:40 pm IST
Addressing party workers after a decisive victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah took a dig at the Opposition. Shah said that the country had clearly signalled that there was no place for politics focused on caste and appeasement, referring to the defeat of the Samajwadi Party-Bahujan Samaj Party-Rashtriya Lok Dal alliance in Uttar Pradesh which had hoped to stop the BJP juggernaut with the help of a caste coalition.
