Achinta Sheuli extends India’s Gold run at CWG; PM Modi hails ‘Yuva Shakti'

• The winning streak of Indian weightlifters continues at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. Debutant Achinta Sheuli bagged 3rd gold for India in 73kg men's category. The 20-year-old smashed games record by lifting 313kg (143kg+170kg) to win the gold. PM Modi also congratulated Achinta for his winning feat. Earlier in the day, 19-year-old weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga won gold in Men's 67kg category. So far India has won 6 medals including 3 golds, 2 silvers and one bronze.
