Amit Shah chairs meet on Naxalism; calls for joint ops as several CMs attend

- Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting on Left-Wing extremism with Chief Ministers of Naxal-affected states at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Sunday. Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Telangana, Bihar, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh attended the meeting. Shah urged chief secretaries of affected states to hold a review meeting with DGPs and officers of central agencies every three months to deal with LWE. He said in the last two years, a successful effort had been made to increase security camps in areas with lack of it, especially in Chhattisgarh, as well as Maharashtra and Odisha.
