Amitabh Bachchan’s family priest thrashed in scuffle with cops, video goes viral

• Actor Amitabh Bachchan's family priest was reportedly caught in a fight between police and priests. The scuffle broke out at Vindhyavasini temple in UP’s Vindhyachal on Sunday. Clashes erupted after policemen escorted Chandauli DM and his family to the temple. The DM and his family performed prayers at the temple despite the weekend lockdown. Seeing the DM offering puja, priests also expressed their willingness to perform puja. Police officers at the spot, however, opposed it following which a ruckus erupted. There have been no cases registered in connection with the matter so far. The video of the clash also went viral on social media. Pandey's brother informed that he performs puja for Bachchan’s family and had also performed puja for Gandhi family. Additional superintendent of police Sanjay Verma has denied the incident and said no policeman escorted any official for performing puja in the temple.
