Weeks after the conspicuous usage of 'Bharat' on Government of India communications, the country's external affairs minister used the ancient moniker during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar began his address by saying "namaste from Bharat", and ended it by saying, "We bring both tradition and technology equally confidently to the table. It is this fusion that today defines India, that is Bharat."
