- India's star fencer Bhawani Devi has revealed that she had to lie about her family's income to remain in the fencing sport. She is the first Indian fencer to ever qualify for the Olympics after qualifying for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Speaking to Hindustan Times, the fencer narrated her journey in the fencing sport and the difficulties she faced due to paucity of funds and equipment needed for the training.
