BJP slams at Mamata for 'insulting national anthem'; complaint filed in Mumbai

• BJP has slammed Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for allegedly disrespecting the national anthem. This comes after Mamata was seen standing up midway of the anthem during a press conference. In videos on social media, Mamata can be seen sitting & also finishing the anthem abruptly later. A Mumbai BJP leader has also filed a complaint against Mamata for showing 'disrespect to national anthem’. The TMC supremo was in Mumbai to meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar & make a pitch for unifying opposition. Sharing the clip of Mamata singing the national anthem, Bengal BJP lashed out at the chief minister. Following this, more BJP leaders also came out to slam the TMC president. Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar questioned whether Mamata committed the act 'knowingly’. Maharashtra BJP leader Pratik Karpe also took shots & slammed the Bengal Chief Minister. No TMC leader has reacted to the incident as of yet.
