BJP suspends spokespersons amid row over Prophet remark; Says party ‘respects..’

BJP suspended two spokespersons who made derogatory comments against Prophet Mohammed and his wife. Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal have been suspended from the party’s primary membership. Remarks by the spokespersons in TV debates saw several complaints being filed against them in India. Anger had also been building up in Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia over the comments. Earlier BJP issued a statement that it ‘strongly denounces insult of any religious personalities of any religion’. Watch the full video for more.
