‘Boycott amid Hijab stir’: Bommai govt denies re-exams for student protesters

  • Karnataka govt has decided not to conduct a re-exam for students who boycotted 2nd PUC exams 2022 due to Hijab protests. Hundreds of students who didn't take the exam won't be given a second chance. Govt will mark them as 'absent'. However, the students can take the theory exam which is 70 marks. Karnataka was on the boil after the Karnataka govt banned hijab in classrooms. The Karnataka HC in its March 15 order, upheld the ban on Islamic attire, saying Hijab is not an essential part of Islam. Watch this video to know more.
