CBI arrests Firhad Hakim, two other TMC MLAs in Narada case, protests break out

• Mamata Banerjee led TMC versus the CBI yet again. Two West Bengal minister Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee, along with MLA Madan Mitra were arrested by the CBI this morning in connection with the Narada case. Mamata Banerjee herself reached the CBI headquarters in Kolkata to register her protest while party supporters took to the streets in protests against the arrest in some parts of the state. TMC & the Congress accused the CBI of acting at the behest of the Modi government at the Centre and said that arresting the ministers while they are actively involved in tackling the Covid situation smacks of political vendetta.
