Cong's post of burning khaki shorts invites BJP ire; 'Call for Violence'
Published on Sept 12, 2022 06:13 pm IST
The Congress party's "burning khaki" post has ignited a smoking hot controversy. The party posted an image of a pair of khaki shorts set on fire. The caption of the post reads: to free the country from the shackles of hate and undo the damage done by the BJP-RSS. The tweet comes amid the Congress party's aggressive social media campaign to promote the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a 150-day mass contact led by Rahul Gandhi. Such khaki shorts are typically worn by members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, also known as the RSS, which is the ideological fountainhead of the BJP. The 'burning khaki' post by the Congress party has left the BJP fuming. The Saffron party asked if Rahul Gandhi wanted violence in the country. Amid a chorus to withdraw the post, Congress is yet to respond. Watch this report for more.
