Droupadi Murmu ahead in race to Raisina? Cong Ally JMM in dilemma | Explained

• NDA's Presidential nominee Droupadi Murmu seems to be ahead of Yashwant Sinha in the race to Raisina. BJP, JD(U) and YSRCP have vowed their support to Droupadi Murmu. Congress ally and ruling JMM in Jharkhand has not made their stand clear but are likely to back the NDA's candidate. Murmu belongs to Santhal community which has the largest population among the 32 tribes in Jharkhand. Cong's Bhupesh Baghel govt in Chhattisgarh also seems to be in a dilemma as the state has more than 30% tribal population.
