EJ Espresso: India sees sharpest rise in active Covid cases since Nov end

Active Covid-19 cases in India went past the 1.5 lakh mark on Monday after a gap of 17 days, registering the sharpest rise since end November. Mumbai witnessed a sharp 36.38% rise in the active cases since February 8, as per BMC officials. In the wake of the spike in case several states reimposed stricter restrictions.
