‘Five nations can’t...: How Jaishankar defended India's case for UNSC membership

EAM S Jaishankar reiterated that a permanent seat for India at the UNSC as well as reforms to the Council, remains India’s main priority. Addressing a business community event in New Zealand, Jaishankar asserted that India voices the interest and aspirations of a broad set of countries. Leading India's charge in the bid to reform the UN body, the external affairs minister said that contemporary issues cannot be solved by only a few countries.
