Fresh clashes in Howrah against Prophet insult; Mamata blames ‘BJP’s sins'

- No end to violence in West Bengal's Howrah district over Prophet insult by axed BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Fresh clashes broke out between protesters and police in Panchla Bazar area. Agitated protesters pelted stones at cops to which police personnel fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. Section 144 has also been extended till June 15 in the wake of the grim situation. Meanwhile, CM Mamata Banerjee has blamed BJP for the violence. Additionally, BJP MP Saumitra Khan has written to Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him to deploy central forces in the state.
