Fresh FIR against Twitter India boss over wrong map of India: What it means

• Twitter India head Manish Maheshwari booked by UP police over a wrong map of India. Maheshwari's name in FIR comes a day after Twitter displayed an incorrect map of India on its website. The FIR against Maheshwari has been lodged in Bulandshahr on the complaint of Bajrang Dal leader, Praveen Bhati. The case has been registered under section 505(2) of IPC & section 74 of IT (Amendment) Act, 2008. Twitter showed a map with Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh as a separate country. The misrepresentation appeared on the career section of Twitter under ‘Tweep Life’. The distorted map was, however, removed on Monday after it was flagged by a user.
