Gandhi Jayanti: President, PM Modi pay tributes to Mahatma on birth anniversary

• President Ram Nath Kovind paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 152nd birth anniversary. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Delhi's Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma. The PM said Mahatma's life & ideas will inspire every generation to walk the path of their duties. PM Modi also paid homage to India's 2nd PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 117th birth anniversary. PM said Shastri's life based on values & principles will always be a source of inspiration for all citizens. The PM visited Raj Ghat & Vijay Ghat, memorials to Gandhi & Shastri, respectively, to pay tributes. Several other leaders also paid respect to Mahatma on his birth anniversary.
