Govt rejects Turkey's charge on wheat quality, says shipment was for Netherlands

- India has reacted after Turkey rejected 56,000 tonnes of Indian wheat over quality concerns two days ago. Union Commerce minister Piyush Goyal said the wheat consortium was meant for the Netherlands by the ITC and not for Turkey. He also rejected Turkey's quality concern, assuring that Indian wheat is of good quality. This comes after Turkey rejected the Indian shipment of wheat citing ‘phytosanitary’ concerns.
