Govt won't rollback 'Agnipath', says 'no place for arsonists in forces'

- The defence ministry has made its stand clear on the 'Agnipath' scheme. There will be no rollback despite raging protests across states. Top defence officials said that the reforms like Agnipath was long pending as the armed forces wanted to bring youthfulness and experience. It also warned the arsonists as protests over the scheme goes violent in several parts of the country. The Additional Secy of the Department for Military Affairs Lt.General Puri said that there is no space for indiscipline in the forces and aspirants have to pledge in enrollment form that they were not involved in arson. He further added that if during police verification, an FIR against the candidate is found then they simply can't join. Watch to know more.
