Gujarat 2022: BJP Sweep? Why anti-incumbency isn't a factor despite 27-year rule

The battle for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state Gujarat has begun with three key parties in the fray, including the ruling BJP, Congress and the new entrant - Aam Aadmi Party. While Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has promised 'change', it is unlikely that Gujarat will embrace him or the Congress, which has been out of power in the state for decades. The opinion polls give a clear edge to BJP, which is ruling the state since last 27 years.
