High waves damage Puducherry's iconic pier built in 1962; Tamilisai assures help

• Puducherry's iconic pier at rock beach collapsed due to high waves in the early hours of Sunday. The high waves were a result of deep depression over the Bay of Bengal. The landmark pier had been in a dilapidated condition for a long time. Puducherry's Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan visited the site and inspected the pier. She assure all possible help in rebuilding the iconic pier which was built in 1962 during the French regime. Watch this video to know more.
