Hijab ban: Muslim girls sandwiched between law & religion? AIMIM leader responds

Even as the Karnataka High Court has given its verdict on Hijab ban in state's classrooms, the controversy is far from over. The Muslim girl petitioners from Udupi have now approached Supreme Court challenging the verdict of the Karnataka High Court on Hijab ban. On Thursday, Muslim-dominated areas of Karnataka observed a shutdown to register their protest against the Hijab verdict. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) headed by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has come out openly against the Karnataka High Court verdict and has decided to be party in the petition that has been filed before the Supreme Court.
